Once the fine details are confirmed, payment can be completed securely online through the City’s official payment partner, Pay@.
- If you receive a link from the City of Cape Town (view cityofctviewfines.co.za), simply open it to view your fine. Scroll down to the “Pay Now” button and, select – this will lead you to the paythat.co.za website, enter your fine notice number, and pay your fine online.
Paythat.co.za builds on an existing digital partnership between the City and Pay@, offering a simpler, faster way for users to stay compliant and avoid late penalties.
The platform supports multiple convenient payment options for single, multiple and bulk fine payments, including card payments and Instant EFT on digital platforms; payments via major banking apps such as Capitec (Pay and Pay Bills), FNB, RMB, TymeBank, Absa, Nedbank; as well as mobile wallets and QR-based services like Masterpass, Zapper, Scan to Pay. There are no additional service fees, users pay only the amount reflected on their infringement notice, making the process straightforward, transparent, and secure.
